change to canadian dollar on ebay canada.

just wondering how my fellow sellers on ebay Canada are doing with there change from American funds to Canadian funds selling on ebay Canada , just started to change my funds from American to Canadian , just wondering if the American buyers are staying away ? or is the traffic still the same with the change to Canadian funds , I sell over 100 items a month in American funds , so I guess time will tell with the Canadian dollar.

Most of my items ship LetterPost/LightPacket, so I have moved them to dotCOM and use Flat Rate or Free Shipping.

The few that are bulkier need Calculated Rate parcel post and have remained on dotCA.

That being said, I have not seen any great difference in the number of sales, and those listed in Canadian dollars have been purchased from customers from the US and UK although most are postage lots sold to Canadians (and not really of interest to non-Canadians).

All the other overseas customers bought USD items.

BTW and off topic-- what is your reasoning behind penny shipping?

For us, it seems to have dropped off significantly, probably by half. It seems Ebay is really pushing it as I received a List 100,000 Buy it now, in canadian funds on .ca for free AND receive a 20% discount on final value fees. I will give it a week or 2 but I am leaning towards .com and US $

One positive has been more Canadian buyers but much much less US buyers.
