Ebay charging a commission on shipping has just about ruined my ebay business. I have never over charged for shipping and it is expensive to ship outside Canada.
I used to be able to buy reasonabley and sell reasonabley with exact shipping costs.
Now that ebay charges me 10% on shipping costs I can no longer offer my good prices to my customers.
Just in case you are interested I will give an example.
I go to an auction sale and purchase 100 items at 2 dollars each. I list them at $4.99 and sell them. My profit less ebay charges is 299 dollars. Shipping is paid by the buyer. If it costs 12 dollars to ship ebay takes $1.20 plus paypal charges.
Sure knocks the heck out of any profits.

Even though we may tend to disagree at times, all friend do, i don't recall Inuk being shy in regards to using his selling ID on the boards.
Again not defending anyone, but i recall Inuk mentioning his seller ID previously. Should he decide to post with his other ID, his choice of course, we know it is him much like Femme's & others posting IDs.
I never said he was shy about saying what his selling id is but the OP is not a regular and might not even know that some posters use posting id's.
When a buyer comes on here asking a question about a problem they are having, what do many of us do before giving advice?....We look up the transaction to get more info and perhaps look at their feedback and the sellers feedback. If they are using a posting id then it is more difficult to help them when they remain anonymous as there is not enough info available. Same idea in this situation...don't expect people to know what they can't see.
In Femme's case, I haven't noticed her using a posting id that often but she does have a few selling id's that she has posted with....that's not really the same thing.

Don't disagree with you & you know i would if warranted.
I guess i could have cleared up any confusion in my post by using the term User ID instead of Posting ID since others use Posting, Buying & Selling IDs on the forums.
That is my fault.

That is my fault.
Awww BB....there's really no fault to talk about......but I don't want to argue with you so ok..it's your fault. LOL
Teasing of course....

I just find the omission of proper wording can cause a lot of confusion on the boards.
We have seen it happen many times, usually coming from my end. lol
