eBay Canada Price Promotion - 10¢ Listing Day on eBay.ca!

Today, we announced eBay Canada’s next pricing promotion – a 10¢ Listing Day starting Monday, November 20, 2006 at 00:00:01 ET (12:00 AM plus one second) – click here for the announcement.

I just wanted to reinforce that the 10¢ Listing Day is open to all Canadian resident users who list their items on eBay.ca (not eBay.com) in Auction Format, Auction Format with Buy It Now feature Upgrade or Fixed Price.

This does not seem to be working; I am listing through SMpro and I appear to be paying full price - eg:

Thanks, guys, for changing the rules yet again.
This promo is for .ca listings only. When I list through SMpro my auctions automatically go to .com.
Not happy.

Are you listing your items on .ca or .com? The promotion is only for .ca listings.

If you are using .ca and not using the Sell Your Item 3.0 form (SYI 3.0), the $.10 promotional price will not be shown during the listing process, but the discount will be reflected in your invoice.

Can you please confirm that you are listing on .ca and that you are not seeing the $.10 promotional price.

While this promo is specific to listings on eBay.ca, you should be able to list on .ca with SM Pro.

I will look into SM Pro listings automatically reverting to eBay.com but that should not be the case for a Canadian user.

I too am having the same issue. All of my listings are being charged at the full price. NOT HAPPY!

Hi Lilybean,
I am definitely listing on eBay.ca and all of the listings I made during the promotional period were showing up as full price. There were no $0.10 listing prices showing.
I hate to profess my ignorance but I am not sure what SM Pro is.

Well . . . Foiled again. I checked the history on the email promotion that was sent to me. The email for the promotions on November 20th was sent to Yahoo at 10:51pm on the 20th and then to rogers at 11:50pm on the night of the 20th (promotion is almost over by then) and then sent to me at 1:50am on the 21st when the promotion is over. NOT much help I must say. How many other people had this problem ? Ciderantiques

What a poor promotion. Having listed on many 10 cent listing days , when I received the late notice for 10 cent days I started sending listings and store inventory to online auction, only to realize after that eBay has changed the rules and I was not recieving the discount. Most of the auctions I listed I would not have listed if I was being charged full price. Totally not impressed. It is not an easy switch from eBay.com to eBay.ca for store listings and premade auctions and the bracketed (not for listings on eBay .com ) was not included in the original message. You should reimburse all Canadian sellers their listings from yesterday because this promotion managed to tick a whole country of eBayers off.

Sellers that use Blackthorne are unable to list on Ebay.ca only on Ebay.com so we are unable to take part of this sale.
Not a very good promotion. Even if the sale price was reflected later that would be fine but this makes it impossible for me to take part.

I have just received an email from EBay Customer Support advising me that I am NOT being charged the full rate even though it is showing as such when I am listing. That is a huge relief and I am grateful for their diligence in notifying me.

What is Sell Your Item 3.0? I too have been charged full price today and on Monday. Although, a couple of times, this new listing page showed up. It was great!...everything all on one page!...and I was charged 10 cents. Is this SYI 3? How do I get it all the time?

You will be given the option of using the old or new forms.

The page that I saw pop up a couple of times was when I used Sell Similar or Relist. Everything was on one page and it was easy to change just what I wanted. It is THAT PAGE I want to use all the time...for new, sell similar or relist. Is there a way to do this?

You cannot sell 'new' from a relist page. The reason it is all on one abbreviated page is because you have already input the information the first time round.
