The Canadians likely won't know. It's put on by eBay.com. Griff and others are going to be there. I'm going on to the Toronto one. Anybody else?

Personally I'm very curious to see how it's put together and run by the Americans. I wasn't overly impressed with how the Canadian On The Road was run.

I agree about the on-the-road. I was at 3 or 4 (not sure how many), and they were progressively worse, both in venue and in lack of organization.

I would go if they paid my expenses.....

I was wondering about it.

It's like 5 minutes from my house... is it worth going? it seems to have only very basic information.

It is just basic stuff. It's teaching newbies how to sell on eBay. It's called the Basics of Selling I believe. That should pretty much tell you everything. :)

Oh but I forgot to say that I enjoyed blabbing to other eBayers. That part was great. For me it wasn't necessarily solely for the info. I wanted to network and see who else was out there.

I also enjoyed helping out new people. You can chat with others during a break or gap. They really want to hear from people who currently sell. Pick your brain. Don't count it out as far as the learning too. Most of it I would think so but there'll probably be a tidbit or two you could pick up. 🙂

At the very least, with Griff doing it, you'll get a laugh. I think he can be funny. And if you register to go to any of the eBay University's make sure of a couple of things; You can bring a friend for free if you register together and you get $10 off coupon discount code for eBay Live.

That would make Live only $40 if you register between 2/24 and 4/15. Coupon is good for only 6 days after your eBay U class.

Hi catseye*,

It would be great to have volunteers from the Community participate in the event. What would you like to help with? I could look into it for you. Obviously, we would love to have our Community members come out just to share their experience with other attendees in an informal perspective.

I will definitely be attending the one in Toronto so I look forward to seeing some of you there. In addition, we will have a fairly strong contingent from eBay Canada there as well!

Cheers,
Vaughan

VAughan, I volunteered for the last 3 on-the-road's when they were in Vancouver. Usually there were 3-4 of us, helping where ever we were needed - sign-in, seating, answering questions...it was great fun.

Having some of us Education Specialists there might be a help to the rest of the staff.

If you could look into it, and get back to me, that would be great.
