global shipping program - can't get shipping quote to Canada - any suggestions?

I have contacted the seller twice about getting a quote on item 291104719736 and the response from the seller is that I have to go to the end of the purchase - i have always been told not to purchase any item without final ship cost - at total loss as want item but not prepared to pay for any surprises - keeps saying invalid postal code and will not give me a final quote - even an estimation would be helpful, all I get is zero and invalid postal code - ughhhh

I don't know where you see any mention of the GSP - I don't see that in the listing.  I do see to contact the seller for a quote for shipping to Canada, and I also see that they ship by UPS.  This means that upon delivery you will be asked to pay the driver additional money for customs brokerage fees, sales tax and any duties payable.

here are the responses i received after requesting shipping quote(I asked twice as there was a huge delay in receiving the first response) - again appreciate any insight into this as I am loathe to walk away but just can't purchase without that quote:

Because the Global Shipping program is not connected with us at all, we are unable to give you a shipping quote. When you get to the end of the ordering process Global Shipping will give you your shipping total.

Obviously they are under the impression they are using the GSP, when they aren't.  I too can see no mention of the GSP in this listing, so not sure what they are talking about. 

Based on their customer service so far, if  I were you. I'd pass on this one.  Why reward such dismal service?

Arlene is correct - that listing is not part of GSP. It would be detailed in the listing itself. They can not retroactively make it a GSP listing.

If seller can not give you a quote on shipping to Canada, take a hard pass and look elsewhere.

Clearly this listing does not offer GSP.

The seller shows shipping this specific listing through UPS - that would most likely cost more than GSP.

The UPS fees (brokerage + COD = disbursements) would be about $60 plus taxes; GPS is about $5 plus the same taxes.

I suspect the seller made a mistake in the shipping information.  I took a look at other listings and he usually ships using GSP.

It would be wise to contact the seller, explain he made a mistake by not offering GSP for this listing and ask him to cancel the transaction.

We had problems with this seller. Avoid this seller and move on.

Stay away from UPS shipping from the States and from a seller who can't/won't give you a shipping quote.

You might want to shop around - these sinks can be purchased in Canada.
