While some sellers will accept pictures as proof of damage, they are not required to do so.
Usually Paypal will not refund the unhappy buyer without the seller's authorization unless the buyer can prove delivery (not shipping, delivery).
You seem to say you have received a refund of your original payment.
Did you return the item to get that refund?
If so that is as much as you will be getting.
If you did not return the item, and got the refund of your original payment, was the item shipped under the Global Shipping Program?
In those cases, the GSP takes responsibility for the bad packaging * and does not require the return.
The seller did not refund you. He still has the original payment.
You have no responsibility to return anything. Just trash it.
* They have a nastly habit of repacking items at their plant. And are incompetent about it.
