seller saying out of stock item they want to refund, then buy later when receive in futur what to do

Seller says out to stock item I purchased. (Buy it now) purchase. 

Is this going to be refunded on my paypal account or as a 'rain check' to buy in the futur at their site.

Waiting for an answer from you, because I do not know what to do

The seller shouldl refund your money. If they ask you to do a transaction cancellation, do not do it until after you have received your refund.
