there is no "commit to buy" option

Some items on ebay goes directly to payment when clicking "buy it now", there is no "commit to buy" option.

If I wanted to buy  5 or more items,  I have to make payment for each item separately.

On seldom occasions there is an "add to cart" option instead of "commit to buy".
Why is this?  Help!!!

Don't know why, but there is a workaround.

BEFORE bidding ask the seller for the combined and discounted shipping cost. Ask for an invoice with that amount when you have bid. 

Then bid and wait for the invoice.

This also saves the seller money since he pays a fee on every invoice PP processes for him. One invoice for five items is cheaper than five invoices for five items.
