If you don't have an eBay store, the final value fee on the item is 10% plus another 10% on the amount of shipping charged.
Is eBay the right venue for this item?

If not a store then 10% of $5500 with a cap of $750 + 10% of shipping or $550+
If you get a store subscription ($19.95/mo for basic) the fee drops to 9% with a cap of $250 plus 9% of shipping so around $270+ (250+19.95+shipping)
So in this case a store subscription would (if you sold the chair for $5500) save you $280 in fees versus not having a store.

Fees are not a big deal.
Compare the costs of local high end antique auctions which would run about 20-25% plus cataloguing and photographing fees. Plus delays in payouts.
Payment is a big deal
How to you plan to get paid?
Are you aware of the limitations on amounts of Paypal payments ?
Are you aware of Paypal's fees and foreign currency exchange rates?
Are you aware of the 21 day Hold on new seller's payments?
Shipping is a big deal.
How much will shipping cost?
How will you ship?
If the item is damaged in transit or if the buyer claims non-delivery or delayed delivery, how will you cover yourself?
