Is there a way to filter my search options to locate items that are only available to Canadian sellers on ebay.ca?
Example: buyer ships to Canada only!
Cheers:-)

I'm having a similar problem. I'm trying to set my search to "Only sellers in canada", as by the time I pay for shipping and international charges, it's not worth it in some cases to purchase from the states, especially with the current exchange rate.
I can see how I'm supposed to be able to do it, but it doesn't work. I scroll down to the toggle where you can pick either, Canada, North America or World Wide, but it won't let me pick Canada, (It just keeps toggling between from North america and World wide). So then I tried advanced search options, and scrolled down to pick "Canada Only", but when it did the search, it again gave me US sellers. I think it might be screening for US sellers that ship to Canada, but that's not the option I'm looking for. Does anyone know why it's doing this or how to fix it?
thanks,

" it's doing this or how to fix it? "
First, you must on eBay.ca (NOT eBay.com)
When you do a search you will find a box at left giving you these choices:
Item Location:
default
Canada Only
North America
Worldwide
If you select "Canada Only" you should get a list of items where the seller indicated the item is located in Canada.
If that does not work for you - whatever the reason - please provide a link to your search result page.

Is there a setting for Canadian currency only?
That would block out most Canadians selling into the international market.
Nice to see you back bilge21. It seems many of the posters here don't realize that there are products that will have no international interest.
Your recycled printer cartridges are one. My Canadian postage lots are another.

Most likely price. A Canadian who ships international will have goods listed in American dollars. A Canadian who ships only within the country will be listed in Canadian dollars only.

" A Canadian who ships international will have goods listed in American dollars. A Canadian who ships only within the country will be listed in Canadian dollars only."
It is not that simple.
I am an experienced Canadian seller.
I list on both eBay.com (in US$) and eBay.ca (in Cdn$). I also have listings in € listed on eBay sites in Europe.
The decision to list on one site or another, in one currency or another depends largely on the perceived market for the item.
If a seller sees a higher probability that the item will be sold to an American buyer, it makes sense to list in US$ on eBay.com or eBay.ca. If the buyer is Canadian, then the buyer will have to pay in US$.
If the seller sees a higher probability that the item will be sold to a Canadian buyer, it makes sense to list in Cdn$ on eBay.ca while offering shipping to the USA (so the listing is seen on eBay.com where the majority of Canadian buyers shop). If the buyer is Canadian, then both buyer and seller save the currency conversion fee. If the buyer is American or from overseas, then they pay in Canadian dollars.

There used to be one, but eBay phased it out as a search choice after they broke it (when they localized currency display).

- Go to Ebay Canada.
- Search your item.
- Click "Advanced" in top right corner.
- Click on Canada in "Location"
...only items located in Canada will display.

He still says in the item descriptions 3 years later that he does not ship outside of Canada but he still has not excluded USA. So his confusion still continues.

bilge21 does have a shipping cost to the USA but it is $45 which is so high to discourage USA buyers but be visible to Canadian buyers logging onto eBay.com USA. Apparently many Canadian buyers log onto eBay.com USA and do not log on to eBay.ca Canada site. Otherwise, having no USA shipping option would not allow his listings to be visible on eBay.com for Canadian buyers.
But this is speculation on my part.

I wish that worked... but.. if you select canada only.. it doesnt restrict to Canada items only... it restricts to sellers willing to ship to Canada.
Would love this option to actually work.. I'd at least like to see the option of sourcing from a Canadian supplier to ship to a Canadian customer...

According to that link there are 0 listing from Canadian sellers for that item. That's why all you can see are listings from international sellers.
This search worked fine....

because if you're in Canada and search on the Canadian Ebay site, and it pulls in 98% american sellers, who ship to america only, it's a big, royal pain in the ..

Hello 'manal',
<< my first time i paid for item from november and until now I didn't receive my money and when I asked they told me because
it canada , and I have to contact them so now I need my money back>>
From what I can gather from this you are saying you bought an item back in November and did not receive it, yes?
Then what you need to do is go to the Resolution Center in your paypal account and open a case for an Item Not Received.
Paypal gives you 180 days in which to do this.
If that is no help to you and you paid with a credit card, call the 1-800 number on the back of the card (or from your card
statement) and inquire about a chargeback for goods not received. Have all the transaction details, messages with seller,
card statement, receipts and so on in front of you when you call.
Best of luck.
