Coupon code applied at checkout then charged full amount

Hello guys

 

Id like to know if anyone here experienced the same thing as me,

On june 21th ebay provided a coupon code PSUPERSUMMER that i used at checkout

and got a 15$ USD discount. Yesterday i did look at my order details and i saw that no coupon code was applied at all, and i dont mean on paypal where there seem to be confusion sometimes. I can see on my ebay purchase history when coupons discounts have been applied and for that one, nothing at all. I contacted ebay about this and they have no traces of the coupon code being used on that day so they wont help me.

 

It wasnt the first time i used coupons code, (it worked before and has worked since)  and im 100% sure i did see it applied on checkout. Im really disapointed on that one, since the first item i was buying wasnt expensive enought (75 usd minimum) to make the discount usable, so i bought something that i wasnt really in need for, just to be able to use the coupon.

My coupon use was successful.

Bought 3 items via the shopping cart (making sure all were the same currency) on June 21 and got $19.94CA subtracted (listings were Canadian auctions ending during the flash sale, so the $15US was converted).

Used a credit card, rather than my paypal balance.

When you bought, were you close to the coupon time cutoff?.

...

I always use the cart for these deals, just for the extra level of confirmation.

No it wasnt close to the end date, i used it in the afternon, did "proceed to checkout" then entered the coupon code and saw the discount apllied then procceded. One item was an offer i made that was accepted but had to take another item from the same seller before proceeding to checkout to reach 75 usd.

 

It just seem like a bug or something was wrong for me on that particular one.

I think with this particular problem, I would call Customer Service a second time and explain the situation to another rep. It’s within the realm of possiblities that ebay will throw you some sort of bone for reporting the glitch/error if you get the right person and your account is in good standing and you are polite but persistent.
