few weeks ago I ordered a items from the US that ship through eIS and all of them have gotten stuck at ebay's Glendale heights hub. item's arrived at hub within a week, but delivery date is approaching soon.
Is there a reason why nothing seems to be getting updated? is it related to carrier strikes?

also, Pretty crazy how many corporate apologists are in these forums, seems to be the same 3-4 guys on every post replying with PR/GPT responses.
I have to say, almost 4 weeks stuck in the hub is quite insane. The longest I've had an item stuck there was 2.5 weeks. But... I've had two items that were received, processed and sent to me, only to get stopped AFTER customs cleareance (per tracking), and then get (allegedly) returned to the hub.
They were finally credited to me as "items not deliverable". No explanation as to why was ever given, even after I requested it. There were two Casio vintage pocket computers of a certain model (some of which I've ordered in the past, different models, without any issue). It appears to be a problem with that particular model. But it was a really painful experiece, dealing with that.

DHL was not on strike.
The management locked out the workers.
Credit where credit is due.

Hmmm.
Interesting-- and a little scary.
Undeliverable items are not required to be refunded by the seller, so I wonder if you got a "courtesy refund" from eBay /eIS?
Any indication?

No indication at all.
I ended up buying this particular pocket computer model from a seller who did not ship to Canada, not even via ESI. I had it shipped to a mail forwarding company in Florida, and then they shipped it to me. No issues.
To this day, I am still flabbergasted. 🤔
