We went out this morning to get some groceries and go to the pharmacy
Was not sure what to expect with the reports of folk panic buying and crowding stores etc. Not sure what it will be like later on in the day but was surprised to see a slow but steady stream of folk in the places we went
First Grocery Store is a smaller one down the road. I was one of a handful in there. The staff were busily restocking shelves etc
They had Plexi Glass Screens installed at the Tills which I was greatful to see not only as a customer but for the staff.
One of the Staff walked by me we nodded to each other and I thanked him for what he was doing telling him I know this must be stressful. He smiled and tried to brush it off as nothing but it is
went to the Pharmacy same thing screens up but the staff were very upbeat
Last stop a Large Grocery Chain. They now have a sign up on the sidewalk outside asking for folk to line up there being 2 meters apart. Had a young Lad in the alcove with Hand Cleaner and wiping down the handles of each cart, Actually asked me if it was okay to do this. He was allowing people in one at a time watching when folk left the other door . Bit strange seeing so little people in the store, that has never happened it usually is filled but all were staying apart from each other. The one thing I really Noticed was as you came up to someone the majority smiled nodded and said Hello to each other
The other thing was they Had Toilet Paper on the Shelves. Not a lot but it was there I did not need any so let it be. Strange that something like that could get one excited
I really hope this continues know everyone is rightly concerned and tense but if we can continue this way it will make it easier in some ways
be well
