Ours was quiet but very nice Thanks. I hope yours was Nice Too. Taking a few days at home then will be out Picking again. A busy time Picking there are some great items becoming available.
The Vintage Feather Tree in the Picture we picked up a week ago. (We got a Pet with this one. One of the ugliest spider I have seen) It was running around the branches and feathers. What a production 5 of us there all hate spiders close up and personal. Took about 10 minutes to get it off the tree. It was terrified we were freaked. Reminds me of the Joke "How many Antique Dealers does it take to catch A Spider"?
We are keeping this tree Have another one we have had for a few years that this one will replace.
In the week before Christmas picked 3 Vintage Feather Trees. Walked into a Antique Mall about 3 hours from here not expecting to see one we found 5. Bought 2 that day then about home that day decided we needed that one so back we went a few days later and got the 4 Ft one. We are still considering the other 2. Lots of travelling, we should have just bought all of them at the same time

@rcrawford34 - a surprise spider is definitely not what I would want either, lol.
What a string of great finds! My rule is always 'If I can't stop thinking about it the next day I should just get it'. The only time it has let me down was with a store closing sale - I picked up one mannequin but wanted to get another and talked myself out of it. When I went back to pick it up the next day (couldn't stop thinking about it) they had closed forever. It was definitely a sad day.
The tree looks lovely!

I deal in Vintage Mannequins when I can find them. One of the most interesting ones I had was about 6 feet tall and looked like the Oscar Statuette. It was Art Deco from the 1930's
Used to sell them at shows. Came back from a show I had 2 female ones in the back seat of my car in pieces. There was a parking lot beside my place and was unloading the car. Coming out of the door I saw 2 Older Ladies waist deep in my car As I got close to the Car I could hear them chittering and they were not happy. Asked if I could help them one Turned and angrily asked what I was doing with Naked Ladies in my Car? I replied they were Mannequins. A humph from both they both said FINE!! and left chittering the whole way . Hmm If they thought they were real my first question would have been "Why are they in pieces"?????
One of my fav responses to a Mannequin was at a show I was doing. I had a 50's Child's Mannequin. A Woman fell in love with it and bought it. When the transaction ended she gave me a huge hug and a big kiss thanking me. Not a reaction I usually get
Awhile later a friend came up to me and said "Do You Know who that woman was"? I had no idea. He said she has a TV Show . An Adult Entertainer in *blush "Adult Movies" her show discussed different aspects of Adult Entertainment (It was rated 18 plus) and shown late at night
"chuckle, All I could think of was How was I going to splain that one to my other half ????

Also had a 30's Partial Female Mannequin. Called her Madge. This was From The Shoulders up. We went a way for awhile and my Sister came into to look after our Budgie (Feathers) I had it on a washstand near the door. My Sister came in turned on the light and let out a Scream and ran out the door. The Light was trained on Madge
I phoned her and she started giving me HECK!!!!! Big TIME!!!! Told me what happened and how scared she was. I did not help matters at all I started laughing and could not stop. She still lets me know about that one

That Oscar mannequin sounds magnificent! I laughed out loud at the Madge story and have now had to explain it to a few people in the office, so thank you for sharing! I have won the 'best member story of the day' so far. 😄

One more Mannequin Story
I moved here to go to University. For 4 years lived in a University Building for Married Couples that was in the downtown section. This house was at the corner of a major street We lived on the ground floor the last year there and the west windows were close to the road and sidewalk. The front had a porch and 2 windows
We bought a Mannequin that we placed in the Living Room in Front of a window near the sidewalk
One afternoon during final exams I was on the couch studying. Had been there for hours and was right into it to the point I was bug-eyed. Heard a noise outside looked up and nearly jumped off the couch. There were about 25 pairs of small eyes staring into my Living Room they were at all the windows. A class from a Local Elementary School near me was out on a walk. They had spotted The Mannequin in passing and of course needed to see it up close. Went out on the porch the Teacher apologized. While it shocked me at first I was okay with it and we discussed the Mannequin and why I had it in my Living Room. Gave the Kidlets something to talk about when they got back to school.
Little did I know a few years later I would become a Antique Dealer dealing in Old Toys and many unusual items. Many we have kept in our place over the years between shows and markets. We never know what we we will have in here on display
The mannequin is sort of dull compared to some of the things we have had in our place
My Favorite piece and has been with me about 18 years is Gerome. A 6 foot by 3 foot Paper Mache Giraffe Made in 1950 Gerome (named after The Puppet from The Friendly Giant TV Show) was Used as a Store Window Display in a Larger Department Store for 10 years
I bought him for resale but he grew on me and has been here since
He is such a Good Giraffe I brought him in here said "Stay" and he has not moved since
He blends in well with the Vintage Christmas old toys and many varied items we display in here
