Anyone use etsy and ebay simultaneously? Especially for arts and crafts?

I just wonder if anyone here also use etsy along with ebay. It's well-known that etsy is more specialized for selling arts and crafts. what is the main reason behind that preference? The overall fees between etsy and ebay seem to have no difference for Canadian sellers. Does etsy give more seller protection than ebay for selling arts and crafts items? What would be the difference if I sell the same items on ebay? Let me know. Thanks.

I don't at the moment, but I have in the past.

The difference to my mind is that etsy is more focussed on "handmade" , with a side order of "vintage".

This means they have a different, again more focussed, customer base.

While eBay items made by true artisans and crafters are overshadowed by factory made reproductions, a collector looking for original products will turn to etsy.

This in turn should mean that the crafter can charge what the item is actually worth ( minimum wage!WOOT!) instead of competing products made with  slave Uighur labour.

Having said that, you may sell more on eBay than on etsy, simply because eBay has a larger market share.

There is no reason not to sell on both, as long as you are very very careful about deleting sold items from the other site as needed.
