Business Policy - Shipping

Hey everyone....

 

Ok I have ran into an issue today, which is very frustrating to say the least, as I have spent way too much time on it.

The items I ship via Canada & USA , my Canadian shipping is showing up, but my USA is not for those customers.

Example today had a sale for a jacket via USA & I noticed the shipping cost was not listed for this customer. So I sent an invoice, which DID have the shipping cost.

 

So I went to a few of my listings & this is what I get for USA  "This item will ship to United States, but the seller has not specified shipping options. Contact the seller and request a shipping method to your location" but I have specified, so IDK what is going on.

 

I went into my policies for all these listings, made it my default, cleaned up other things & I still have the same result. I dont want to be sending out invoices each & every time for my US buyers, when it should be automatic, as it was previously.

I switched my location to 90210 in the USA and check a few of your items.

First using Highest Price plus shipping.

No problems-two options with prices showed up for a painting and a diamond ring.

Then Lowest Price plus shipping

A sports card - Just one option , Small Packet USA at $12.27 on a  $1.00 card.

 

Are you changing your location when you do the Search? 90210 is easy to remember.

Thanks for the reply... the reason shipping is so high on $1 card USA Customs will not let Canadians ship via letter post to the USA any longer for trading cards. We have to send via small packets to the USA 😔

 

The painting & ring I wasnt having a prob with lol so any jewelry or high-end items I ship everywhere & I have those on a different policy, as I do my cards. Its my low to mid-range items I am having an issue with.

 

So what I was doing... going to individual listings as a customer, click on shipping, returns, payments - then switch over to usa, click on find rates and this is where I would get the message of  "This item will ship to United States, but the seller has not specified shipping options"

I believe I worked it out... I am hoping anyway.

 

I went back into my policy I was having issues with & noticed I had International tracking shipping instead of tracking for USA chosen.

 

Just one of those days.... thnx once again for replying

@canadianglassmountain YOu may find for December 2023  that it is cheaper to ship by Tracked Packet USA than by Small PacketUSA (either Air which is tracked or Surface which is not exactly)
