Hey anyone!
I'm new to eBay and my dream is to become an awesome eBay reseller (hopefully Top rated plus!), but for the moment I have a sticking point in creating shipping costs for my products because I don't understand how I'm supposed to know what to write as a shipping cost for my items if I don't know where it's going to be sent.
I have a handful of clothes listed with high shipping costs because I just chose a postal code that's furthest from my address so that if the buyer decides to buy it then at least they'll be happy to know it's cheaper than what's posted (if they don't live on the other end of Canada), but , I'm feeling like the shipping price for my customers is not looking like a good deal which MIGHT be the reason why I'm not selling.
I really want to be a part of the eBay community I think this is so cool! my first flip was such an awesome feeling, I could really use anyones help, thanks!

You need a digital scale and a measuring tape.
And this will be handy too.

But the real answer it Calculated Shipping.
I like Free Shipping (which isn't free, but that's a different discussion) however it doesn't work well on parcels where the rate varies not only with dimensions and weight but also and importantly with destination.
It's actually easier to offer Flat Rate Shipping to the USA than within Canada.
Take your time.
Play with the Rate Card above.
Shipping is the hardest part of selling by mail order.
Also-- a member posted today about selling their eBay branded packing supplies at a decent price. Look around for that post. You may find it interesting and useful.
And remember that Tracking is for the Seller's protection.
Don't ever allow a buyer to persuade you to lower their cost, by giving up your protection.
Best wishes.

@reallynicestampswrote:
Even if you are not selling them , you might want to put pants on your mannequin.
