Ebay Announcement Dot com Calculated Shipping options for US sellers

FedEx Home Delivery Rates Decrease Effective November 8, 2022

As peak season approaches and sellers prepare for holiday shipping, we have some good news. eBay and FedEx have worked together to bring you lower rates on FedEx Home Delivery – just in time for the peak season! Sellers can now enjoy deeper discounts making Home Delivery one of the most cost competitive services in the space - offering sellers even more options to ship this holiday season. Discounted rates for USPS, Fedex and UPS. So strangely calculated multiple options IS an possibility for US sellers. Sadly not for Canadian.

Follow up.

Expedited/Xpresspost ^etc^ must require either a field for the zip code or state. Reason why they are not calculating/displaying those options properly using the tool or whatever is NOW hooked up to ebay. Listings created with the old listing tool seem to be including all associated shipping options that were originally applied. (From my brief testing).

See above & attached messages. The eBay ca calculator link is not fully functional (like the dot com calculator). There is no way to use Fedex because the calulator requires a zip code for US shipping this causes the link to be inactive. There is also no option to choose calculated for UPS which many Canadian sellers use. Are there plans to correct this or is this still a work in progress? Flat rate shipping does not work because rates vary by distance and can be affected substanially by fuel surcharges.

Do you have any follow up for this issue. Original post was Nov 2022. eBay seems to be advertising FEDEX as a possible added solution for Canadian sellers. Without a working calculator it is a non starter. Just not safe to ballpark using Flat Rate shipping.

In doing a bit more testing the FEDEX calculator is still dysfunctional for Canada due to no postal codes for ship to in Canada or Zip Codes for shipping to the USA. Rates can vary greatly depending on final destination.

There are other discovered issues with the calculator current condition but that is the most critical concern.

The announcement was made Nov 8, 2022. Any follow up as of yet? 4 Months??? The calculator link is still DOA for US shipping. (Including the FEDEX option).
