They are working at trying to find a solution for us who ship cross border within their network.
I'm taking my packages in today, hopefully they cross the border tomorrow (usually stuff goes over the following day which is why they're close on Saturdays). I'm using Stallion though, but I still get bulletins from Chit Chats on their services.

Just got this email from them:
02-02-2025 08:33 AM
BTW, shouldn't have eBay sent a communique by now?
02-02-2025 08:36 AM
I got the email too, the link to the blog was from their email (but contained more information than what their email said).
It looks like they're working to try and help us with our shipping issues, we'll just have to wait and see.
I'm on time away for the week but I have a feeling this will continue into me removing all my listings (or many of them) since this may go on for a while. Even if the tariffs go away quickly the damage is already done and it's upset everything. It will take a while to move on from this, even if it's resolved.
The price of coffee went up anyway, even though the Colombia tariffs were quickly resolved, my partner says that the increased prices are people building risk into their pricing structure because the tariffs might come back later, so now they're prepared with higher prices of products. So the price went up due to tariffs, but doesn't go down when you take tariffs away. (I don't fully understand economics TBH, but I'm trying to learn to better understand what's happening).

You would think... I'm waiting for an email from Stallion to tell us what's going on. I don't think they fully know. I'm just hoping I don't have problems dropping off my parcels today.

Here is the Stallion e-mail:
We want to keep you informed about significant new trade measures that may impact your cross-border shipments. On February 1, 2025, the Trump administration issued an executive order imposing a 25% tariff on most goods imported from Canada and Mexico, effective February 4, 2025.
Key Updates & What We Know So Far
25% Tariff Implementation: Most Canadian and Mexican imports will now be subject to a 25% tariff starting February 4, 2025.
Termination of Section 321 Exemptions for Tariffed Products: Based on the executive order, it appears that certain tariffed products will no longer qualify for duty-free entry under the Section 321 de minimis exemption which is how most of our shipments from Canada to the U.S. are currently processed.
Effective Date: These changes will be in effect starting February 4, 2025, and enforcement is expected to begin immediately.
For more details, you can view the full executive order and the official White House fact sheet.
We are actively reaching out to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and our partnered customs brokers to determine the exact details of how these tariffs will be implemented. We will provide a detailed update next week once we have more clarity.
Additionally, we understand that many of our customers are wondering: Do I need to adjust my selling prices due to these tariffs? Will my products be affected?
We will share an in-depth breakdown next week once we understand how these tariffs will be applied at the product level.
To ensure smooth cross-border shipping under the new rules, we may be required to collect additional documentation for all shipments. This could include:
Business registration details (to verify importer/exporter status)
HTS codes for product classification (to determine applicable tariffs)
We will provide more guidance on any new documentation requirements in our next update.
What’s Next?
For now, we recommend keeping an eye on our updates and holding off on any major pricing or logistics adjustments until we have final confirmation from CBP. We will share another update next week with clear next steps.
If you have any concerns, our support team is here to help. We know these changes pose challenges for Canadian businesses, but resilience has always defined us.
Together, we’ll navigate this shift and find a way forward. Stallion is committed to supporting you every step of the way. Thank you for your trust, we’re in this together.
Best regards,
The Stallion Express Team

I just got an email from Stallion. Pretty much the same vebage as to what ChitChat sent.
I got that too, but I was driving back from Mississauga at the time. I went to Stallion in Mississauga with my packages today and asked if they would go to the US tomorrow (apparently they do, and as of right now they're all showing "in transit" in the portal with tomorrow's date for tendered to USPS).
I made mention that items can't cross the border on Tuesday (based on things posted here, someone posted Monday would be the last day shipments would clear without tariffs), and I was told "we haven't been told anything by our team yet". Then half an hour later the email came, and I read it when I eventually got back home.
There are lots of questions that need to be answered, and I'm relying on Stallion and Chit Chats to communicate those answers since they'll be investigating this and finding out what we need to know. I'm at my day job during the day, but if I get something and no one else has posted, I will share when I finish work.

yup, you'd think they'd at least acknowledge it but as Canadian sellers know we dont really factor into their business decisions too much so the non response so far hasnt surprised me at all. That and there's so much uncertainty with how this is going to be implemented so maybe its best for them to wait it out a bit to see where the dust settles. Its altogether possible this could blow up in the US's face as they dont have the infrastructure in place to process every single item being imported into the country to tax it. Maybe he's planning on turning Guantanamo into a tariff processing centre, who knows.
chit chats, I totally get them sending that out, this could do them serious damage. The way they cut back in western Canada last year, they couldnt have been doing so well as it was.
