Need to send message to buyer! HOW?

My store is on time away and just ended. In the one hour between ending and putting it back on time away I sold an item so need to contact buyer due to the strike. Haven't been on eBay much since I am now in Week 10 of my home renovation! Please help, how do I send buyer a message now?

From your sellers hub under orders there is a dropdown on left. One of the choices at bottom is Contact buyer. You will find same option on center right if you open the transaction under more options.

if you are asking how the new message system works ie how to use it, then once you click on 'contact buyer' you wil see a big empty box (with a warning from Ebay about selling outside of Ebay) and at the bottom of the box will be a 'send message' button (sometimes it just says 'send').   

To actually send a message you have to click on that first BEFORE you try to type a message.  Once you click on it then you will be able to type your message to the buyer in the little slit of a window that has opened.  Once you are done with your message to send it, click the little blue icon to the right that looks like a paper  ariplane.  The message should appear in the bigger box above in blue; buyer's responses will not have the blue.

If you are familar with texting, this works much the same way, apparently.

Thanks to both of you for your answers! I did figure it out but it was that little box that just said Send that fooled me.

yeah i know......had me stumped for a while too.   It looks like that is the button you click on to send the message once you've typed it.  Who woulda thunk that it is how you type the message in the first place.  Clear as mud.  Maybe it should say 'type message' or just 'type', instead of send.
