Hi all,
Hope you can help because Ebay customer service has been no help at all.
I tried listing my first item and when i got to payment options only ebay was listed. I wanted to use Paypal as i have been with them for many years.
I contacted Ebay CS and she was able to get Paypal option but when i finished and tried to list the item i run in to problems. I keep getting a popup requesting i confirm my Paypal info, when i do that it goes in a loop and keeps coming back up, end result is i have been unable to list my first item.
I have spent a few hours on the phone with Ebay CS and Paypal but the situation is unresolved and apparently no one at Ebay knows what to do.
I just got off the phone again and customer service said my issue has been sent to tech support and i will have to wait betwee 24 to 48 hours then try again.
What am i missing, is Paypal no longer offered as a payment method on ebay or am I just messing up?
Help is appreciated.

EBay is switching from Paypal, which used to be a profitable part of their business, to Managed Payments which is their new in-house payment processor.
It's a long convoluted story. Basically rather than paying PP a fee to process payments, they have a new system which is once again a profit centre, rather than giving those fees to PP.
So what you need to do is to set up a Managed Payments account.
You have to have a Canadian chequing account where all the identification matches your eBay identification exactly.
The costs are about the same.
Since most long term sellers have been "invited" into the program, we don't really know how a newbie sets up an MP account from scratch.
Or anyway I don't.
