I purchased an item that I did not receive. No refund either, seller not replying to me anymore...

I purchased an item on Sept 9 and did not receive it. Contacted the seller Oct 21 and they told me to wait 10 more days and if i still have not received it then they would refund me. After waiting 14 days I still hadn't received my item so I contacted the seller requesting the refund we agreed upon. No reply.. Contacted seller Nov 13, still no reply.. It is now Nov 18, sent another message today, and still have not heard from seller. I have tried to open up a case through EBay but I can't do so because It says I can only open cases from Oct 1.. I can't even leave feedback with the item because they have completely removed it from EBay.. I also tried to get help through PayPals Buyer Protection, and no luck with that..

You have up to 45 days to file item not receive
buyers are protected, don't let buyers dictate your actions file claim.

If more then 45 days do a reverse if a credit card was used....otherwise you waited to long

same thing is happening to me right now.  I waited because item was coming from China so I waited to have it shipped.  Now, the seller is not responding, no refund and lots of negative feedback from other buys for that seller.  I don't know what to do.

Shipping from China should not take more than 30 days. Which is about 10 days more than from Canada.

 

That being said, if you don't have your item in 30 days, contact the seller. Once.

If he does not respond satisfactorily, open an Item Not Received dispute in the Resolution Centre which is on the dropdown menu under Help & Contact.

(An offer to replace is NOT satisfactory, the replacement won't arrive either)

If the seller does not refund and cannot show that the item has been delivered, Paypal will refund you and go after him for the money.

 

But.

There is a 45 day deadline on Disputes.

 

If that has passed, thank your lucky stars and good sense that you backed your PP account with a credit card. (PP is just a mediator) Go to the card's 1-800 customer service number and ask about a chargeback.
