Since October 22nd, Canada Post service has been impacted by rotating strikes resulting from a labour dispute between Canada Post Corp. and its union, CUPW.

As a result, there have been delays in the delivery of mail and parcel services across Canada, and a significant backlog has now developed at Canada Post processing centres.

As a consequence, some international carriers, such as the Royal Mail, have now announced that they will be suspending the shipment of international mail destined for Canada until labour disruptions have been resolved.

Despite the labour disruptions, eBay remains fully open for business and is focused on ensuring the best possible online shopping experience for our customers. Further, our seller community is showing incredible resilience and dedication in finding alternative solutions to continue to meet customer demands and expectations. However, while Canadian eBay shoppers will continue to find exceptional online value and selection—including market-leading deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday—some delays in receiving Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases should be anticipated.

We encourage you to continue to monitor the rotating labour actions on Canada Post’s website. Further, we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and thank you for continuing to shop from eBay’s marketplace.
