0 feedback Buyer signed up same day to buy an item, hasn't paid. What to do?

I just sold a Buy Now item to a person with 0 feedback or activity. I checked and the account was made the same day of the purchase. Of course I haven't received any payment yet. Could this be a fake account to take my listing down? What are my options other than waiting it out to file unpaid items claim? If I simply relist the item will I be charged final value fee? Thank you

You have to wait 4 days to file.

If you want paid immediately then you have to use

that option.

Fake account? Nah, more likely a twit who was either thrill bidding with no intention of paying or who can't figure out how to pay.

Contact the bidder and ask if he needs help setting up his Paypal account.  This will give him the push to find out how to set up such an account.

If there is no response, don't fuss about it any more. Some transactions are not going to happen. Such is life.

As soon as possible open the Unpaid Item Dispute. If he doesn't pay within the next four days (sigh, yes, this is gonna take a week to clear up), escalate the case and get your fees back.

The twit gets a Strike on his buying account which will prevent him from bidding with many, if not most, sellers. He will not be able to leave feedback.

BTW, set up your own Seller Preferences to Block bids from members with Strikes and those who do not have active Paypal accounts. Saves a ton of hassle.

Missed that.

Yes you will be charged FVF on the first failed sale if you do not use the UID to end it.

And if the first bidder actually pays you will have two customers for one item. Embarrassing at the minimum.
