Don't get all huffy about this suggestion, but why not attach a credit card to your PP account and pay from there?
Your payments will be truly instant, with no delay for either transfers like the one you are doing nor clearing two banking systems.
You can pay at your leisure, or immediately if you don't want to pay interest.
You have a second line of appeal should a transaction go pear-shaped. Your cc has a Chargeback policy protecting you. Paying from a bank balance or from a PP balance offers no such protection.
(The last reason is why PP doesn't push using a credit card very hard. They may decide in favour of the seller, and then have the money taken from them by the cc company. PP then has to chase the seller for reimbursement. )
