Anyone know something about a Gold Trade Dollar produced for Williams Lake Golden Jubilee ? I have one that is in a black case, it has a sticker in the case that reads 24k Gold. I can not see any markings on the coin to confirm it being Gold. I am not having luck finding information on this. I did see something about 37 being produced for this event useing 28gr .999 Gold. Any info would be great. Thanks,
Bry.

Your gold trade dollar actually will weigh 28.3 grams and is one
of probably about 50 made. We have handled at least 30 different types in 24K Gold since we opened our first Vancouver coin store in 1973. We are a buyer of your coin at $1500. today
We have three different ones currently in stock a "Morsetown BC",
a "Kitimat BC" and a "Terrace BC". All are 28.3- 28.5 grams each.
the regular trace dollar struck in nickel weighs approx. 14 grams

Hi Bry.. Cannot find anything using search. Did find a 29/79 trade that certainly was not gold. You need to have it tested. Did you try a simple magnet test. Pure gold should not attract.

Thanks for your responce, yes did the magnet test. (non-mag) I also found the regular Dollars. Not sure why its so hard to find this minted coin.Google has almost always produced, all that I have typed in. I'll keep trying and thanks again.

Take it to a gold buyer, preferably an established jeweler or coin dealer, and ask for an appraisal.
The written appraisal on the appraiser's letterhead will cost you money, but it will be useful when you resell the medallion, since it does not have much online history.
Is it dated 1913 or 1923? Those would seem to be the most likely dates for a Golden Jubilee (a 60th anniversary like Her Majesty's this year.)
It is not unusual for a souvenir piece to have 24 kt plating and be described as 24kt gold (filled or plated or .05mm).
