500 free listings on Ebay.ca and Ebay.com

Hopefully someone knows this answer...if it even exists.

I am trying to locate the number of free listing I have used per month. Ebay says I get 500 free on .ca and 500 on .com. Under my "promotion listing used" section of my Ebay, it shows a number(lets say 34 of 500). It says the same number on when I log on .ca and when I log on .com. So it is only tracking the number of listing I have used on one site, probably listings on .ca.

Has anyone found the number of free listings used per month for .ca and for .com?

I want to maximize my free listings per month by not having more then 500 on one site.

Thanks for your time.

One of my friend as a seller in US is having problems in trying to list her items on eBay.ca for 50 monthly free listings and it kept charging her the insertion fees.  I gave her the step to step instructions on how to click for free listings and she tried 5 times and still charged for the insertion fees.

I knew US sellers can have 50/50 or 150/150 or 500/500 free listings monthly but she wasn't able to list it for free.  I even told her to call eBay as they can guide her while she is on the phone and with the computer but no luck.  I just gave up with her and told her that I no longer am willing to help her with anything as it is starting to frustrated me as if I am hitting a brick wall and getting nowhere.

I can help anyone a lot of times but if a person is not willing to go any mile to do it like calling eBay but no, so that is and I have to crossed the line and possible lose her friendship.  Maybe I need to give her a tough love forcing her to use another way like calling eBay to guide her as I am not going to help her anymore after today.  I just had it for 5 days straight which is way too much.

Is it only available to Canadian sellers??  Please advise.  Thanks.

The 50 free listings on both .ca and .com is available to all. You do not have to be Canadian.

Why would anyone bother to call eBay five times when it only takes a few minutes to test it by listing one listing on eBay.ca and one listing on eBay.com and check

Pierre, sigh!!  That is what my US friend is doing, sometimes she can be so naive, no matter how much I gave her the step by step in full easy details and she couldn't list one item on eBay.ca!!  She can list on eBay.com but not on eBay.ca.

I told her just to follow the step by step instructions exactly that including to move the mouse to the specific area/item and to click it for the menu to drop, etc., etc.  But no luck.  She thinks it is only for Canadian sellers!!

Believe me I have been extremely patience with her way too long and I gave up.  If I am at her place, I would have done it for her with the 1st listing and she can take over the next 49 listings but she is 1,500 miles away!! LOL.

"...but not on eBay.ca...."

Does she understand that to list on eBay.ca:

1) she needs to ship to Canada !

2) provide a shipping cost to Canada

Yes she understand but the problem for her is that she was unable to get onto eBay.ca or sign on eBay.ca for 50 free monthly listings.  That is what she told me.  I gave her the full simple step by step instructions but no luck.  I wish I could get into her eBay account and start with the 1st listing and then she took over the next 49 listings.

All she needs to do is log on eBay.ca

There is no such thing as signing for 50 free listings.  They are there.  All a seller needs to do is use them, one at the time until exhausted..

Maybe you should send herr a link to this thread.

Finally she got it and is able to have her 50 free monthly listings on eBay.ca now.  The problem is that she copied and posted a part of the body from one of her listings on eBay.com onto eBay.ca.

I told her that she needs to start her first listing on eBay.ca from scratch and apparently she didn't read my instructions fully.

I hate it when anyone didn't read it "fully".  Sigh!!  I have many buyers go "oops", I didn't read it fully and asked to cancel the transactions and of course, I didn't cancel the transactions, just wait until the 4th day to open the unpaid item process and wait another 4 days to close it so they get strikes on their files for their "stupidity".  Sorry if I sound harsh and mean but I had to, to teach them lessons.  Hopefully they will learn their lessons, but some don't.  That is eBay.

I was telling one of my US friend that she can list on .CA and she didn't even knew she can do that!   You also can list for free up to 30 on Australia site.  No luck with other site as I did tried with every other site to take advantage of free listings.

I know this message is old........but in order to get the free listings in Australia you need to have a registered address in Australia.
