Just another annoyance to deal with as a seller. A buyer buys the item, pays for the item through paypal and a minute later request a refund. Ebay sends an email requesting a refund on the buyers behalf. I send the refund as requested. Then I get another email from ebay saying it may take 24 hours to receive my refund on final value fees. The best part is when I check paypal I end up losing 30 cents on the transaction that they refunded to the buyer. Just another great example that spending time and effort to create a listing can actually LOOSE you money. Isn't it just great being a seller!!!

It's definitely annoying and gotten much worse with the shift to people believing their smartphone is an able replacement for a pc/notebook but I prefer to be out 30 cents then dealing with the headache of a buyer who buys something without reading/checking the listing properly and then tries to pull SNAD to force a prepaid return. It's an expense to be accounted for at the end of the year, not a huge deal in the end.

I totally understand what you're saying. It's just annoying that the payment was $10.27 to my account and the refund paypal sent back was $10.57. I don't think it's right for paypal to take 30 cents more out of my account than I received. Sellers must be losing a small fortune every year when you think of how many refunds are made. Anyhow, I just needed to vent out some frustration last night. Life goes on.

How about the buyer that buys, pays, then sends an e-mail that he may return the item. (10 minutes have passed from the purchase!)
I ship item and of course the minute he gets it he asks me if i accept returns. Costs me return ship costs and i imagine
probably penalized somewhere on ebay?? I am out $24 on the return.
I imagine this jerk does this daily and there is nothing we can do about it.

Why would you pay return shipping on a buyer's remorse return? Those do not incur penalties.

He entered an "Item not as described" and opened a file. In it, he even states to ebay that item was broken.
He used the system and i'm sure he does it daily.
