We received an invitation to participate in this program. Following a copy and paste from the offering:

• Items with a purchase price under $20 are most attractive to buyers
• Substantial discounts (40-70%) off MSRP are most effective
• Free domestic shipping and delivery within 5 business days is expected

So, under $20, 40-70% off and free shipping. Since parcel post in Canada costs $10-12 that leaves $8-10 for an item that has already been discounted 40-70%.

When eBay wrote some Canadian sellers last month, they were looking for:

• Site Listed on ebay.ca
• Currency Listed in C$
• Format Fixed Price (Buy It Now)
• Price Between $20.00 and $60.00 (but must be agreed to by both the seller and eBay) • Discount 40% to 70% off MSRP + an additional minimum 10% lower than the next best online price;
- the eBay team will be researching all submitted prices to ensure they are the lowest purchase price online (by at least 10%)
• Condition New (defined as never been used)
• Availability In stock and ready to ship
• Quantity Minimum of 50
• Payment PayPal must be one accepted method
• Shipping fees FREE within Canada;
• Return Policy

The requirements to have an item selected for "The Big deal" on eBay.ca have been changed somewhat since early Summer.

• Return Policy Must offer a return policy which shall include a refund remedy and time limit
