Hi, an auction of mine recently ended and I sent him/her an invoice for payment.
However, they reply me with,
So I've already sent them an invoice including a shipping cost of $18 we discussed prior to the auction ending and it is included in the auction (not to mention I am a seller in Canada and buyer is in Canada--the fee is included already).
I am not quite sure what s/he means? Am I supposed to press a button saying item is ready to be shipped or something? I've sold 2 things in the past and never encountered this problem.

Um. That's just odd. Are they now trying to lowball you on postage? Or is the buyer trying to tell you that he/she is meeting a technical error when they try to submit payment?

Sorry did not realize I am unable to quote the buyer in my post.
So essentially they said they can't pay due to eBay not letting them... They do not appear fluent in English and I thought it was a technical error at first, but that shouldn't be the case.
I think it's that they want me to ship the item before I am paying me... or they want to lowball me on shipping. Thing is, I told them about the shipping price after they've already placed a bid, so in the case this transaction falls out, can they still leave me a negative feedback?

After I emailed them with the shipping price, they never replied back.
I would assume that if they had a problem with the shipping they would ask to cancel bid before the auction ended?

Unfortunately the auction ended 3 days ago; they had over 100 buyer feedback so I didn't think too much about their no-response.
If they don't pay by tomorrow then I'll just open a case.
Thank you!

Your choice but, a mutual cancellation allows them to leave feedback. An unpaid closed UID does not. If they pay after you open a UID, be prepared for repercussions as far as feedback or possibly not received, or not as described.
With all Ebay's rules, you can have severe problems no matter what you do.
I would report the buyer for asking for what is not in the listing after purchasing.
Where is the buyer from?

I don't know, this seems like a tough spot. Ask the buyer for clarification, I suppose. Don't ship them anything without payment first, obviously. Report them if it seems like they're asking you to do that. And, finally, maintain polite communication so that if there is an issue with feedback later on, you can appeal it with a clear record.
Or....
Sometimes buyers hit spending limits on their paypal account. It might just be a problem on their end with that. It used to be that you could only spend a certain amount before paypal made you link a bank account. (Instead of using a credit card all the time.) I'm not certain that's still the case but it might be....? Or maybe they've been thrill-bidding and just got word from ebay that their Unpaid Item Strikes are coming back to haunt them and now the buyer is just confused in general.
