Buying stamp lots to ship with

I am looking to buy bulk stamp lots to ship my smaller items, I have heard on here before that they can be bought on ebay for less than face value, but I can't find the posts about it.  I have done a search and all I am coming up with is collectable stamps.  Is there a certain search word to put in so that the bulk non collectable stamps come up?

Here is a search that will bring up some of what you want

http://www.ebay.ca/sch/Canada-/3478/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=face+mint+-%22no+gum%22

Avoid no gum uncancelled stamps since they are used and not legal to reuse as postage. The above search should avoid those listings

'poco' -- Could you clarify this?  When I click on the link you provided above, it looked as if the words entered in the top search box included "no gum".  Does this mean the items shown on the search results should not be the type reused as postage?  Thanks.

its going to be increasingly difficult to fit enough old ones on packages.  There are still p stamps around at some stores that don't have postal outlets - some costscos, staples etc. make sure to check they are p and not new .63

Well the 63s are still valid. Actually all stamps of the Dominion of Canada are still valid, as well as those of the Colony of Newfoundland.

I wouldn't use an 1897 $3 Queen Victoria Jubilee as postage though.

renfrewite-- I sent you a private message.

There is no point in stocking up on .63 that will still be worth .63.  You want to buy specifically p ones now that will soon provide a large discount

The search has a minus - in front of "no gum" and that is to exclude any listings found with "no gum" in the title.

I'm not a fan of stamps. Used to be, the RPO I dealt with, would "use up" stamps every Jan and Feb. Instead of a label they put on stamps. I swear up and down my parcels moved slower every year at that time. Going into the third year of that I requested they stop using stamps.

I understand all the positive aspects. The savings on postage could pay for your packing materials. I get all that.

I love the Paypal shipping labels. I like to "think" my parcels move faster. I "know" my parcels move faster since I switched from using the CN22, as the mailing label,  to the Paypal shipping label.

What I "think" and what I can prove are two different things. Empirical evidence is in short supply.

Thanks all for the advice.  I use paypal shipping labels for all my bigger packages within Canada, and worldwide.  But I use stamps for over sized lettermail within Canada, so that's why I want to find discounted lots of stamps to save a little bit on postage, when I save, my customers save.
