Has anyone else with a store noticed that their store category list is not currently visible when a listing is viewed?
Normally my store categories are shown on the left side of the screen, in a panel matching my store banner. I noticed today on checking a few of my listings that the category panel is gone.
I'm beginning to think eBay is soon going to make their new store design mandatory, and that messing around with the old store formatting in the background is a signal. I notice there have been problems with Gallery pictures lately too.
It would be nice if the site to which we pay our store fees would actually function properly for more than two days at a time and that they'd display the items properly that we have for sale.
What's going on here?

Yes, the left-hand side 'listing frame' disappeared at least two weeks ago. I'm plenty irritated by it, I posted a couple of times on both here and on ebay.com. My store was part of the new design but I still rely on the categories that are supposed to be there. As I've said before, I'm worried they are trying to dumb-down the desktop experience so that it matches the mobile one.
I'm getting kind of fed up by these changes. It seems like nothing gets better, only worse. I also miss the 'print' function on a listing. I utilized that all the time to keep record of my items.

Yikes, I had no idea this had been going on for so long, as I've been too busy with a current project that had a deadline, so haven't been taking a look at my eBay listings carefully in the past week or so. How ridiculous! To me, the ability of a buyer to jump from a listing to another category is a key feature, and it's a large part of why I can justify paying store fees every month.
Your desktop vs. mobile theory may make sense, but as usual, eBay seems to have made no announcement to store owners about any such changes.
Another topic for the Wed. session, for whatever good it will do. I would at least like to know if this is a glitch or a deliberate change. I'm fed up too.

I don't know if it will help much but I have a couple of links at the bottom of each of my descriptions meant to lead customers to my Store.

If you want to borrow them-- with the appropriate changes of course-- go ahead. The originator posted them (with appropriate changes ) some years ago on eBaydotCOM.
If these show up as pictures instead of code, email me and I will send you the code if I can . (technodolt, sorry)

Thank you for being so generous in posting this, but if this is the level of a "technodolt", then I guess I'm "techno-brainless". Even this much HTML scares the pants off me!
The problem I see with store categories missing is that prospective buyers who would like to jump to another store section (let's say CD patterns as opposed to paper patterns) are going to have to look all over the place to get the full list of that category of items.
Although I do (thank goodness) have a few links posted up on my store banner which seem to still be visible, they don't cover all the categories with current listings.
I just don't see why we store owners should have to make up workarounds for standard features that we're supposedly paying for. It's just one more example of really poor service by this site. Sorry to say, but the functionality of that other place (the unmentionable E---sy) is an absolute dream in comparison.

By the way, while you're there, please no more anecdotes about camellias and sandals, OK?
We had another 6" or so of snow today, and there will be another flash freeze* tonight. There is so much of the white stuff accumulated on the ground by now that my 3-year old apple trees, which are about 7 feet tall, have just the top 6 inches of twigs sticking out of the snow.
*This year's new meteorological buzzword. Last year's was "polar vortex".

Would you believe that here, in Winterpeg Manisnowba we are seeing bare, dead grass in places? We received almost no snow this winter. Last year at this time it was six feet high in my backyard.

The last time I looked at my Item Listing page, store categories were back. Hooray!

I don't see mine. I was wondering if was because you have an updated store but I think rose dee has an updated store too and I don't see categories on her listings yet.

Well.... that is just odd. Mine are definitely there, I went back and checked again thinking it may have been momentary. But rose-dee has none and she's with the old style store the same as you are. (New stores have no option for adding colour to anything.)

You're right, she doesn't have a new store either so that could be why you have the categories back and we don't.
