Could they send it any later?

I thought one of eBay's Canada plans was to advise Canadian sellers of upcomming promos, giving us more leeway. Well, here is a copy and paste of the date stamp for the latest 10 cents FP promo

"Subject: eBay Canada Price Promotion - November 8, 2006
Date: Tue, 7 Nov 2006 23:58:52 -0700

"

A full one minute and 8 seconds before the promo was to begin. Well thanks alot for the leeway this time.

I woke up this morning, and decided to move something from store to auction, was wondering why it was coming up as .45 c and thought maybe I was entering the price wrong! Then I checked the announcements and saw 10c listing day.
I appreciate the 10c listing day, but an email would have been nice. Thought that was part of the deal. A little prep time.

I did not receive the email on my seller account but I had it in my buying account... at 3:42 this morning!

Could be worse. They could have sent it tomorrow.

This was a US based promo, Jordan has promised that the Canadian based promo's would get early notice and he lived up to this with the last promo.

I wouldn't be surprised if the .ca people only found out about the promo at the last minute.

was it a US based promo ? I thought it was a .ca based promo and that is why I paid full price for the 2 listings I created on Nov 8 on the .com board. If it was a US based promo, should I not have only been billed 10 cents for the listing fees.

This was a fixed price promotion, for .com and .ca
Auctions did not qualify.

ahhh, ok.. I guess I should have read the email I received. I tend to not bother with any of the promotions because I can't jump through the hoops to sit down and create listings specifically to enjoy the little bit of savings. I list when it is convenient for me to do so, not on Ebays schedule.

Have you signed up for the notices? I did and received it just after 10 p.m. A seller, 40 mins. down the road from me received the notice at 6 p.m. I sent a message into Customer Service to ask why my notice was so late. They said they would look into it.

I also asked them if there was truth about rotating servers which I had read about in several different discussions. Never received a response on that point and still have yet to receive my response on the lateness.
