Country Manager

I received an email from Vincent Payen this morning in my personal email but not in My Messages. There is no link in it but there are 2 phone numbers, neither of which netted any results in a reverse search on 411.ca. There was no eBay logo in the email or in the sender's address. He did use my first name in the message but that was the only personal information in it.

I'm not sure if it is legit or not or if he is even the eBay.ca country manager. I Googled his name and found him on Linked In as Canada country manager.

Can anyone verify this for me?

Vincent is a product manager at eBay.ca in Toronto.

There are two country managers (or country lead), one of whom, Andrea Stairs, is currently on maternity leave until the Fall.

99.99% legit, most likely answering a question you may have raised on a discussion board but requiring a personal reply.

Vincent has been most helpful over the years.

Thanks Pierre. That is good to know. If there was one thing that my son-in-law drilled into me when he installed my first computer, it was to be careful with unsolicited emails, whether they had links or not.

It had nothing to do with a question that I raised but it is for something positive. I just don't want to post it on the board. I think I will give Vincent a call.....:-)

I just realized Vincent and Vincenzo are the same person.

I suspected he was fairly high, because he gets stuff done fast.

He has been extremely helpful and very prompt to respond. Ebay needs more Vincents.

I have few messages from "Vincenzo eBay" and after reading this post I checked them out and signature is "Vincent Payen | Country Product Manager - eBay Canada" ... I just did not pay attention to signature at the time.

To your OP ... it seems like genuine email from him.

You did not mention if he addresses your issue.
