Dear Ebay,
What policies do you have in place to protect the customer from fraud?
I have bought a fraudulent item on ebay. Label, colour, logo, typestyle designed nearly exactly the same as brand name product. Clearly designed to deceive the buyer. Price, design consistant with the quality product, but product clearly low quality.
I happened to have bought the brand name product in a store. Loved it and wanted another set to match. Recognized the name, logo and design online and purchased it only to find out it was a knock-off. Not anywhere near the quality.
This is my first time purchasing online with Ebay and will probably be my last. Really disappointed!!!!!
Be aware when you buy. Look closely or this may happen to you.
Ebay, please contact me with a solution.

This is a member to member Board and eBay employees rarely come here.
However, you are covered by two, perhaps three layers of Buyer Protection.
The first is eBay.
You have up to 30 days from delivery to open a Not As Described dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.
It's robots. Don't worry. They are very efficient robots.
The first suggestion is to Contact the Seller.
NOW
All you want is your entire payment back.
The seller may offer to pay return postage.
If he is not in Canada, you will need to tell him how much that is.
https://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/far/business/findARate?execution=e1s1
He sends either a Canada Post Return Shipping Label OR the money to cover postage through PP's Send Money feature.
He has your contact info, and doesn't really need it again, but if he asks it may speed things up.
Allow 48 hours and no more to receive either the RSL or the postage.
Return the item, use a service that confirms delivery.
When the item shows delivered, he should refund you. If he doesn't ask eBay to step in and escalate to a Claim*.
You will be refunded.
Some sellers will get grumpy.
Ask eBay to step in at that point and escalate to a Claim.
EBay will instruct him to provide return shipping.
If he doesn't, he loses the Claim and you will be refunded.
Donate the fake item (if you don't think it's dangerous, like fake batteries). Remove the fake identification.
If you missed the 30 day deadline, you are still covered by Paypal. Much the same process but you have 180 days from Payment and you have to return the item on your own dime.
If you paid directly with a credit card, you have to go to the 1-800 number on the back of your card and ask about a chargeback.
But start with eBay.
Most people are honest. Don't get in an argument with the seller.
If it is real, she should want it back to resell. If it is fake, she will cave fast.
If you need any more help with the Dispute, add more information or questions to this thread.
We've got your back.
*You can do this at any point in the Dispute, BTW.
