Does NOTHING work anymore?

So, we have a Promotion Today... and FINALLY it's one that I can access (being a Canadian who sells primarily on eBay.com, I am excluded from most of the promotions).

So I decide to convert some of my Store inventory into Fixed Price inventory during the promotion.

What a HUGE MISTAKE.

I started this process 9 hours ago, and - with the help of Selling Manager Pro and Turbo Lister - have managed to get just a little over 100 listings active (out of the 1,000 that I was going to list).

100 listings - 9 hours.

It would have been faster to do it manually.

Everything, everywhere, every time, creates silly errors with NO EXPLANATION as to what's wrong.

I'm sooooo sick of this with eBay.

(THAT'S IT, JUST VENTING).

Oh yes, forgot to mention, out of the 100 listings I did get live... Turbo Lister decided (for some unknown reason) that I should ship to Australia... so it added this little "Ship To" location all on it's very own, so now I have even more work tomorrow going in and removing that little gem from my listings.

Hi art-and-home,

Question for you...did you move your inventory directly from your store to a fixed priced listing?

I tried to do that and it wasn't eligible for the sale. So, I decided it wasn't worth the work!

Hi Susan,

I tried using the "Send to Fixed Price" from active listings, and that created a bunch of error messages in Selling Manager Pro.

So I imported everything into Turbo Lister, changed the format to Fixed Price, and tried uploading them... and that created a bunch of error messages.

Finally (shortly after the message posted), I downloaded Blackthorne, imported all of the items, changed the format, then loaded them. And that worked (YAY).

I was actually happy that I had finally found a tool that worked. That was until this morning, now Blackthorne won't even load.

It's just getting silly now.

I can appreciate your frustration. However, I wanted to mention that I had called PS Support yesterday and asked if the sale applied to listings moved directly from one's store to Fixed Price.

I was told NO. So, that worked in your favor!

Don't give up on Blackthorne. It's a excellent program. It's one of the best out there. But, then again, I can tell you that I threaten to throw my computer away everytime I upgrade my Blackthorne program because of some fine tuning that needs to be done.

I'm guilty of not updating to the latest version because I'm happy that all is working quite well and very smoothly right now.

Not sure what I'm missing in the newest version...but I'll wait till all is fine tuned!

So, Susan,

Will Blackthorne just import everything from Auctiva? Spent days setting up all my listings...:_|

Xena,

I've never used Auctiva. For sure Blackthorne imports from SA Pro, SA Basic, Turbo Lister CSV files and directly from eBay! So, I'm thinking that if your listings are running...you can import them directly from eBay.

Perhaps a more knowledgable person may be able to answer or add to?

You can't import from Auctiva unless Auctiva gives you the ability to export your info as a flat file. As Susan mentioned you can import 60 (or 90?) days of listings from eBay even if the listings have ended. When you import this way Item records will be created if they are not already present in Blackthorne.

I think I'll give this thing a try. The "pro" version I presume?

Auctiva has worked great as a step-up from eBay's listing feature but having to manually revise every one of my listings is cumbersome, as well as having to do it as soon as posted (before someone can bid), therefore defeating the purpose of scheduling.

Also, inventory management is becoming an issue with thousands of pieces in over 60 bins and my Excel inventory list never seeming to match up LOL!
