That's right. They're finally trying to do something about fraud. They don't want English speaking countries to sell to China, Asia and some others. There are a whole bunch of restrictions as to who can sell to whom.
What's your problem with that? Don't sell to those countries. Which of course by extention means don't ship to those countries.

There is also another new policy of monitoring high fraud items. They are doing sweeps of items, categories and sellers of target areas. There's a discussion on Selling on eBay and CTS but I can't find them right now. They're also not saying what those items or categories are to prevent giving a heads up to scammers. They're doing away with 1 & 3 day listings for the above. Gives Trust & Safety a chance to see and get rid of the items before they finish with someone losing money.

You have a problem with eBay trying to cut down on fraud? Ok. I don't doubt it'll affect your business and I feel for you but they have to do something to cut down on fraud. Too many of those places are known for doing exactly that. Copying legit items and selling knockoffs.
They have to do something and it's about bloody time! Plus they're getting sued so they now have an actual incentive, if you will, to do something.
Now if we could only get the manufacturers to stop having the originals made in China we'd ALL be better off! They make them there and then wonder why or how they've been able to make copies. HAHAHAHA Ya right!! sheesh

More and more this is starting to appear as if it has very little to do with fraud and much to do with protecting Ebay's butt from legal action by these well known brand names. It's not about fakes it's about protecting territories and subsidiaries from parallel / gray market imports.
I'm not sure if the threat (of legal action) is real and/or potentially successful but for sure even the whiff of such lawsuits would have a negative effect on the stock price.

They don't seem to move unless it affects them that's for darn sure! And then they do seem to go from one extreme, not giving a hoot under the guise of being only a venue, to the other where they block everything ONLY because their butt is now on the line. Very very stupid.
I see tons of copyrighted photos of various stars being sold here all the time and they don't do a blessed thing about it. People are scanning photos taken by professional photogs NOT the seller, and selling them as their own. They're taking images off tv programs and selling them. They're taking them from various websites doing the same thing! Clearly all copyright infringements where nothing is done and yet now people can't even seem to list Dior cosmetics or perfume.
