When I listed my items, ebay gave me the option to relist the item if it did not sell for 3 times for free by checking the box at the end of the listing. Without any notice, ebay removed the FREE from the option to have the item relisted and started charging their normal listing fees. This applies to any listing that was checked to relist for free. This is after ebay said the listing would be for free. If ebay would have said from this date on, a fee will be charged for relisting, it would be fine. But ebay broke their word that the listing would be free for the next 3 times, and started charging a fee for something they said would be free. This is like breaking a contract and changing the rules in the middle of the game. I am so disappointed in ebay for this greedy way to make more money. Anyone else have this problem?

I too have been taken on this trip ... Just realized that I had excessive fees charged to my account only to find out that the automatic FREE listing is NO MORE. This is a rip off on the part of ebay and am considering taking my business elsewhere.

Frankly, if you can't afford to pay between 5 cents and 30 cents a month for a listing, then perhaps there is a problem with your business plan.
You have to build the eBay fees into your costs when you set your prices. If you can't make a profit then either the item is not worth selling or your prices are too low.

I'm with you on that topic...if you can't afford the relatively low listing fees you shouldn't list on E-bay. You might want to try Kijiji or one of the other free listing sites if it is an issue for your business model. The back end is where they get you, or just wait till they have a run on free listings. Set up free E-mail reminders through E-Bay...it used to help me when I first started out and the fees where a lot higher than they are now.
