Ebay has send me an email indicating a mistake was made on your behalf and to make up for the mistake I was told that I have a ten dollar coupon on my next purchase.  The trouble is how do I use it and it seeing that the email was deleted accidentally?  Please advise.  Couldn't the ten dollars just be forwarded to my paypal account?  Thanks.

During checkout there is a place where you can enter coupon codes. This is where you would enter the code for the coupon you were given. Have you checked your email trash bin to see if the message is still there? Is it in your eBay messages? Here is a page on using eBay coupons. It shows where to get the coupon code.

This was the eBay glitch that ended thousands of listings for bogus "violations"?

Good to know the company is following through on their promise. There is a thread on this on the Seller Board.

Hello 'teachabg',

I got one of those too.  They're good until August 31.  Unless yours is different from mine, it is for 10% off your next purchase - up to $10.  That means if you want the whole 10 bucks you'll have to spend $100 or more. (Hmph, wish I'd had it last week).

When you go to the checkout, there is always a box to type in the coupon code.  You were also sent a copy to your regular email.  Deleted ebay messages can be found in the Trash bin.  Unlike your regular email trash, you can't empty it.  Haha, ebay takes out the trash. 😄

The reason they don't simply give you the money is because they want you to spend.  It's all about business.  Those who do not spend do not get the discount.  Nothing new in that.

Enjoy your 10%.  I'd say "don't spend it all in one place", but . . .
