Have YOU Been Notified of the New Free Listing Promotion Starting August 26th?

So far, I have seen a thread started by another Canadian seller (as usual) who received an email yesterday afternoon.

I have also been notified (as usual) in an email from e-commerceBytes:

However, I see NO announcement by eBay on eBay.ca Announcement page

I see NO announcement by eBay on eBay.com Announcement page

I see nothing from eBay in "My Messages"

I see no email from eBay announcing the promotion.

Does that make sense folks?  eBay has a promotion for sellers and keeps it a big secret?

The promotion has already started at midnight!

How many of you have yet to receive an email or message from eBay announcing the "free listing" promotion?

No notification for me, but that is quite usual, I find about the promotions here. I have no idea where to find them, they don't seem to be an the announcement pages. However, it is on my eBay page.

The folks at eBay tell me this morning that the notifications should have gone out by email at 5:00pm yesterday.

I have still NOT received the email nor the message in "my messages"

Anyone here received the notification?  When?  How?

For me it showed up in My eBay Promotional Offers section right at Midnight, no email or other notification.

I actually like the fact that you need to be awake and aware to find out about the promos.

I NEVER receive emails about promotions and I find if I am eligible when I look on the bottom of my ALL SELLING screen.

The line Pay no insertion fees on up to 2,500 listings appeared last night exactly at 12:00 a.m.

No notification yet but I noticed it on my selling manager page I have to wonder what is the point since every listing promotion so far this year has yielded me zip. I do better when there is no promo. Can't sell if no one sees you and my listings are seen sporatically even though I have TRS standing. Right now I can go to my daughters computer and not find a thing unless I am VERY specific in my search words. But on my own after I sign in, it is all there for me to see. What a joke!

Well, it's now almost 5:00 pm here today, and no email or message yet.  The promo did show up on my seller Summary page.

The trouble is that even if I eventually receive an eBay message (which often happens 2 or 3 days afterward), it's usually too late to do much about a promo that only lasts a few days.  I wouldn't mind the absence of notification so much if the promos were a couple of weeks long, because I generally see the promos announced on these boards within a day or two.

I'm not sure how much good all these listing promos are going to do if eBay doesn't figure out a way to bring the buyers back.

I do not have nor ever listed in those categories. But Pierre has, and no email, so perhaps I am wrong.

I got an e-mail for this primary account at 2pm PST yesterday, no eBay message. Nothing for my secondary account (about time they stop sending those to it. I haven't logged in for 2+ years).

Different every time/id.  This id just got free 14 day store, which I was lucky to notice when it was email only.  Last month another id got 14 day anchor store that went to messages

I got the email yesterday at 5:01 PM, but so far nothing on ebay to indicate that I am eligible for the free listings. Nothing shows up on my ebay page nothing in my messages. This seems to be the new normal. 😞 I tested it the first time it happened to see if I would get the free listings when it did not show up on my ebay page, but I had recieved the email. No surprise, I was charged for the listing. Not sure what has happened, wish they would fix it, seems to be at least a couple months now that this has been happening.
