How can a product be US $36.99 (Approximately Canadian $36.39). That's what it says on the product page, and when I buy, it says 37.43$ ?!

I believe it is because it seems that Ebay uses one particular currency conversion rate for itself and its product pages, and Paypal uses its own particular currency conversion rate, which is the one used when you buy the item. These two rates never seem to be equal either, which is stupid because Ebay owns Paypal, so you would think they ought to be the same.

Can't be the same. One is a nominal rate based on Bloombergs (ebay guide) and a buy rate (PP) when paying. All institutions , banks/creditcards/Post Office chage a fee for converting.  PayPal fee is 2.5 %.
