Recently I bought battery charger/analyzer BT-C3400 (v.2.1) . After several battery tests the fan inside of the charger started making terrible noise.
I contacted seller and he told me that is it known issue and he would sent me new fan to replace the old one. I was under impression that the fan would be different or updated version but it turned out that it is the same type of fan and it would be a matter of time until it will fail again.
I asked seller for refund, he agreed and asked me to open “Return” case.
Next day I received reply from EBay saying that they(EBay) decided not to issue me a refund without any explanations.
So I decided to leave negative feedback for seller after failed attempts to contact him.
To my surprise – my feedback appeared for several minutes and then vanished without a trace.
Although initially it was error message saying that this item doesn’t exist I can’t leave feedback for this item. Right now after refreshing my browser all feedback links and references had disappeared. How could it be?

Because the judges decision is final.
If you open a Dispute neither you nor the other party will be allowed to leave feedback.
And when you consider how nasty people can get if they don't get their own way, perhaps it is a good thing.
Remember that when you leave feedback, other eBay members will judge you just as much as the person it is left for.

Some buyers have a history of leaving negative feedback even when the seller does everything in his/her power to appease the customer. I think Ebay recognizes this and takes the appropriate action and even suspends some buyers when they abuse there "power". Some buyers will buy something and then try to change terms of the sale afterward in an effort to receive a refund - even though everything is spelled out right there on the item page. . Some even attack sellers for other reasons (for example insulting their personal pics they worked very hard to take or something like that) when their item doesn't fit even when the actual measurements are listed on the items. This is just speculation and just a general example of course. Only Ebay knows for sure but I think they take into account all of this kind of behavior.
