I'm just curious how our sellers, across all categories, faired with the Thanksgiving night and Black Friday retail frenzy?
As of 2PM MST on Black Friday, I have absolutely no noticeable uptick on sales. Levels are pretty normal, if not a bit lower than early November. We sell toys and kids' licensed wear, so I definitely thought I'd see a bit of an upswing. I'll be curious to see what "Cyber Monday" brings.
Anyone else want to share how it is going for them?

I have never been so slow!

Things never got all that busier through the weekend or on Cyber Monday for me either. I was busier at the start of November, for sure.
Oh well. I'll take advantage of the latest free listing offer and then cut off sales after that. I was going to try selling into mid-December, but a recent snarky message from a buyer accusing me of not shipping her product and "demanding I tell her what I thought I was doing" convinced me the hassle of people panicking about shipments at this time of year is simply not worth it. After my kindly worded response and wishes for a Merry Christmas, I've used up my goodwill just in time for this season of Ebay selling to come to a close. 😄

My sales seem to have the same pattern for the last few years.
Slow at the beginning of the month, busier at the end.
Not sure if the Holidays really make any difference in my Category.
Get many messages inquiring if i can hold the item til payday. Thats usually my demographic.
Usually a very weird but very nice & polite group of buyers. Some of their messages are just plain hilarious.

I had one busy day and since then the sales are trickling in slowly. Other years I had to hustle every day to get all of my orders shipped. Views are still down by half in Omniture and sales are way down too.

No Thanksgiving in Canada falls near Black Friday USA. No added sales whatever the time.

The last 2 months have been the busiest I had this year selling roughly 50 items a day with a few bad days here and there ..
Between 2 stores with an average of about $15 an item I have done roughly $600 in sales every day ...
All guesstimates but it has been really busy lately

Way to go Brande. Hard work pays off.
Always enjoy reading the posts where someone is experiencing an increase in sales.
If i suddenly have a decrease in sales i know who to blame.:-)
