I Went Through A Ride Spot Check at 8:15 This Morning

Came around a curve on the Highway  heading to a small town near here  and there they were  At Least 8 Police Officers were conducting it

First time in 10 or 11 years I have encountered one and sure was not expecting it

Not a problem on my part (I don't partake in Alcohol  I'm Alergic to it  ) just confused me at first what they were doing I forgot they were doing them yr round more

Glad to see them there

Anything that helps get individuals off the road that do drink and drive or do ridiculous things   is a bonus Nothing against one who enjoys a drink just act responsible  

I've lost a few  good friends because of this foolishness

Hopefully those that do drink and drive will forget its a possibility they can,  run into one  and get nabbed

Nice part is they are doing Rolling Spot Checks more,  so one is not immune to finding themselves in one even if they think they can avoid them

Stats seem to show that ride checks have helped, but then again the stats are from the government. I think it would be better to park the ride checks down the block from the bars because if people know the police will do that then they won't take a car to a bar in the first place and they won't even consider taking the chance of driving home.
