I am new to selling but a buyer won the auction but has not paid in 4 days

Buyer won the auction but has not paid and does not answer emails or requests for payment - i don't want to damage their reputation but need to sell this item - when and how can i relist and move on

Go ahead and damage the reputation of this deadbeat. It's good for all of us, buyers and sellers alike.

You can open the Unpaid Item Dispute four days (96 hours) after the transaction.

About half the time , in my experience, the buyer apologizes, pays and leaves positive feedback. The others are never heard from.

The non-payer gets a Strike on his account which makes it harder for him to buy in future. He cannot leave feedback.  You get your selling fees back. You can now relist with confidence.

Don't relist until you have completed the UID process. Having two payments for one item is a very embarrassing situation.

Go to your Seller Preferences. Block bidders who have Strikes for UIDs. I also Block bidders who do not have active Paypal accounts since they are often slow to pay or non-payers.
