I don't understand Best match it makes no sense example

I sell WWE ANTHOLOGY

if you want to search just type that in

So 200880255977 is the best match mine is about 10 down the list if not more

Charges $10 more then I do ....Charges $1 more in shipping ... Has the same rating 99.8% .. They have no description I have a description .. My listing has been up much longer... He has about triple the amount of feedback and I charge taxes but still my product is cheaper...

I mean I am not to worried because this items are valued at about $200 so once him and another guy sell out I can jack my price but the thing the confuses me is what the hell is best match really based on ...

Items sold from each listing.  The other guy has 13 sold from his and recently.  That is the key for fp listings staying at the top of BM.   Which makes sense that ebay would see the items customers are choosing to buy as the ones they should promote to more customers

Toby is correct. I have seen this from my own listings. Ebay's best match shows the highest sellers first, regardless of DSRs and feedback. My account is 100% feedback and 5.0 DSRs across the board, but sellers that have the same item always show much higher on the best match listings than mine when they've sold more than me. Especially now that I've lost my Top Seller rating due to lack of sales.

It's a pity though, that eBay puts the bigger sellers first.
