I have a bid placed on two identical items from the same seller. I thought I was placing my bid on only one item. I would like to cancel one

I am not sure how it happened but I placed a bid on two identical items from the same seller. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I do not require two of the same item and I am hoping the seller may be courteous enough to realize my error and if I win one of them, disregard the other. Any advice

Go to *site map* at the bottom of most ebay pages. Find *Buyer resources* on the left of the page, there you will find *bid retraction* just follow the prompts.

Bid retractions have limited reasons, but if you can find one that more or less fits, use it. BR will show on your Feedback page and some sellers will judge you on that.
You can also contact the seller directly on the listing. Look over to the right near the top. Explain your error and ask that one of the bids be cancelled. Be polite and friendly. Cancelled bids will not show on your FB page.
