I have made a purchase sent 4 emails to seller regarding shipping in last 4 days but no response? What to do? I have not paid for items yet because the seller has not responded to me in 4 days? Please help!!!!

Two messages would suffice as many of the sellers don't work weekends and might be operating on another time zone. What precisely do you hope to learn about shipping prior to submitting payment? If you used the Shopping Cart, your postage is supposed to auto-calculate. Is it an issue of combined postage or a ship-to location not covered? And you're using ebay Messages, right? If you reply via email to the messages ebay sends after you've won something, those go nowhere. The seller won't receive them.

Yes im using ebay messages. I have sent 4 in last 4 days but no reply. About the shipping im hoping to get it combined and ship it faster via express post or other. I have done this in the past with other sellers and they always respond. This seller as not responded in 4 days. This as been on going since thursday, past.

Is the seller in North America? Or overseas.

Does it look like language or time zones are an issue?

Maybe they don't offer the shipping services you seek. It's better to ask before purchase, not after. Doing so afterwards can get you into a bit of hot water if it sounds like you, as the buyer, are demanding things not offered.

Maybe you're getting The Silent Treatment not by accident. Speculation on my part is all that I can really offer since I don't know the intimate details of this.

The seller is in same country as i am both from Canada. Maybe i should report him i dunno but i am not paying until the seller messages me back, its 5 days now

But there's nothing to report. If anything, you'll be the one in trouble for not paying on time with an Unpaid Item strike. Or four.

I realize this is a disappointment to you but, as a you buyer, you are supposed to ask any and all questions BEFORE committing to buy something or things.

You might be better off to ask for a cancellation at this point and see if the seller responds to that request.

As a seller, I would never allow four or five days to pass with an unanswered message but, really, do you want to proceed with that transaction now? What if you don't get what you ordered? What if it's wrecked in transit? A seller who doesn't respond before they have your money isn't likely to bend over backwards to help once they do.

What should i do then? I am lost here. After 5 days now and no response from my 5 messages? If i pay whos to say the seller will ship my items, he dont even respond to all my messages. I am so disappointed over this!!!!!

You are stuck. I agree. If you had paid immediately after purchase, the order may not have shipped now or ever.

Now, your choices are to wait until an Unpaid Item case is opened against you and THEN ask the seller what his deal is...? 'Why not respond to Request Total From Seller?' and then appeal to ebay to have the strikes removed due to seller non-response. I'm willing to bet they'd consider it.

Or pay and hope for the best.

Either the seller is on holidays, AWOL, experiencing technical difficulties OR is incredibly offended that you bought first and asked questions second. A buyer cannot demand anything of a seller in terms of lower postage costs or faster service after a purchased is made. They just cannot. Imagine placing an order at Sears online and then calling them to say you needed it cheaper and faster. They'd say, 'Thank you!' And then cancel your order.

Maybe that is what happened here. Perhaps the seller has been offended (?) and is waiting for you to either request a cancellation or pay and be done with it.

As I said earlier, I can only speculate. I really have no idea. As a seller, I will answer questions posed with careful courtesy at all times. The only time I could imagine a buyer waiting five days is if I had left the country on vacation.

Unpaid Item case as already been open. Im very upset over this. How do i appeal to ebay to have the strikes removed, thanks for your help

You'll have to call Customer Service.

The number can be found at the top of bottom of any page you see on a desktop computer version of ebay. Help & Contact and then follow their prompts. Eventually, you'll come to a phone number to call.

They might tell you to pay or accept the Strike, and then open a case when it does not arrive, if that's how it will play out.

You could still try to ask the seller instead to Cancel Order.

Or you could let the cases close unpaid and then appeal that you weren't comfortable with the seller not replying to any of your messages.

Calling Customer Service will either make you feel better, or worse. It's a 50/50 chance.

going to let the cases close unpaid and then appeal that I weren't comfortable with the seller not replying to any of my messages. Dont know what else to do. If they suspend me, not my fault, i did everything in trying to contact the seller. I thought ebay was better than this. With a feedback score of 14188 you would think this seller would check his messages in almost 6 days. Wish there were mods here to help people like me, mjwl2006 thanks for all your help wish there were more people like you here on ebay.

You are welcome. I'm glad I could help what little I did.

With a feedback score of 14188, it's possible that your seller might be run off his feet getting orders packed for on-time Christmas delivery with no time to check messages. I'm a one-person show with one-tenth that feedback score and I've been run ragged the past three weeks. I do, however, still check messages.

The moderators are here only to ensure we don't break forum rules for posting behaviour. I don't think they work for ebay, per se. I know what you mean about having ebay staff-types monitoring the boards though. It would be helpful to turn to an official ebay sort when stuff like this arises.
