Some sellers give very little indication that items have shipped.
Check your feedback. Some sellers leave feedback on shipping.
Check your Paypal account to make sure the payment went through.
Some sellers Mark Shipped once a week or so. That is a yellow box on your Purchases list.
Or since you are nervous, use Contact Seller to ask for the date of shipping, service used and Confirmation of Delivery number. (Don't worry about the last, it is more important to the seller than to you, but it puts him on notice that you are serious.)
It takes about 10 days for a shipment to arrive from Europe.
It takes about 15-20 days for a shipment toarrive from the USA or Canada
It takes about 30 days for a shipment to arrive from Asia.
You are covered by eBay and Paypal'sBuyer Protection programs. You have up to 45 days to open a Dispute. But you probably won't need to.
