I sold a ancient coin to a buyer and now he doesn't want it because he thinks it's fake and I got opinion fron coin collector is was real,, i put 8 close up pic and a accurate discription on sale for buyer inspection,, ebay support gave no answer to y I should give a refund and I want to appeal it or contact eBay support and argue my case be cause my case is on hold now till I refund and I don't think I should
Any answers or email address I can send a mgr a email.

I had a similar case before, I phoned e-bay. Thinking because they advertise seller protection they would help... not so much.

They do have a phone # on their support page.

If the buyer returns the coin (at his own expense and with Confirmation of Delivery) you have the coin back and are 'only' out the cost of listing and the cost of shipping.

 

If you refuse to refund, and the buyer returns the coin(at his own expense and with Confirmation of Delivery) you have the coin back andPaypal will refund him.

Then they come at you for their money.

And you get a black mark on your selling account.

Your cost for listing may rise.

You may find it takes longer before you are out of the 21Day Hold period.

The number and value of your listings may be restricted past the usual period.

 

We won't even discuss feedback and the Detailed Seller Ratings you can't see yet, but which are MUCH more important than feedback.

It's not personal, it's business. Not every transaction will go smoothly.

BTW, 'the opinion of a coin collector' is meaningless. There are professional authenticating and appraisal services available. These are NOT free, but can be useful.

Collectors vary widely in their expertise. Some just have a bag of coins (or a box of stamps) they have pulled out of change or bought as a mixed lot from a dealer. Others have won medals in exhibitions, but still may know only their own field. It is actually possible to be a degree in numismatics in Britain. It comes under History.
The least you can offer as 'expert opinion' would be a written appraisal on letterhead from a coin dealer. Again this would be a paid service.
